Africa My Africa: Connecting Boundaries
The theme of a new joint exhibition curated by Lahd Gallery and the Gallery Of African Art (GAFRA) will connect an “invisible pyramid” that unites North, East and West Africa. The four represented artists possess a unique kinship with Africa’s rich and ever-diversifying culture.
Trips to Colourful Thoughts
Lahd Gallery presented a special exhibition of Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian works at London’s Art16 Fair.
Visitors to Art16 in May 2016 were treated to a boldly-coloured and narrative-packed mini-exhibition from Lahd Gallery, showcasing work by artists from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) regions.
A Place in Between
‘A Place in Between’ at Espacio Gallery showcased work from a hugely diverse national and international group of artists, in a variety of interpretations and mediums reflecting moments in the artists’ lives when they found themselves in movement – either through space or state of mind.
Founder of Lahd Gallery is Distinguished Honouree of the UN Millennium Development Goals 2015 Progress Award
We are pleased to announce that H.H. Dr Nauf Albendar, Founder of the Lahd Gallery, was nominated on the 17th of June 2015 as the Distinguished Honouree of the 2015 Progress Award, presented by Voices of African Mothers, in association with the U.N. Millennium Development Goals.
