Mona Trad Dabaji graduated from the American University of Beirut, just as the civil war broke out in Lebanon. She currently lives and works in Beirut, where she has been teaching since 1993. Ever since, her work has revolved around one recurrent theme: Lebanon, its traditions and culture. Through her characters, mainly Lebanese women, she conveys with great precision a particularly multifaceted and complex culture.

Dabaji has exhibited in Lebanon, France, Jordan, the United States and The United Arab Emirates. She has joined Lahd Gallery’s international platform in 2019.
